But I am curious as to why you don't get it, if someone was a racist and have decided to change their ways?
We as human beings accept that there are failings of a human nature and we can come to new understandings, based on new information.

Herr Trump led the racists Birther Movement against the a sitting POTUS of the USA for 8 years. He said he had come to accept the fact that Barack Mohammed Obama was born in the USA. We take him at his word.

DJT led the racists arguments against the Central Park Five since 1989 (even going as far as taking out full-page Ads calling for their summary execution). Even with new information he has not backed away from his hateful rhetoric against them.

DJT mollycoddled the racist Alt-Right/White Nationalist/Klu Klux Klan fringes during his Campaign to become POTUS. He finally disavowed them in an interview with the NYT a few days ago, but not before appointing its mouthpiece as his Consigliere.

So with DJT the is no Saul to Paul on the road to Damascus yet!

As to HRC, she did win the Popular Vote the the greatest margin in 140 years.
The Polling Models were off in the Electoral College and HRC suffer turn losses that was more than 5% in some key swing States. That said DJT did win the Presidency, I am not disputing that.

DJT this Election Cycle, was a master at aggregating the single-issues and presenting it in a package to that appealed to the Single-Issue/s Voter.

For one thing Muslims have been in the USA and fought for the USA since the Army of the Potomac.
Previous Administration have accepted refugees from many diverse places, including from more Islamic Theocracy than Barack Mohammed Obama (who is a Christian).
The next thing is the USA has one of the strictest test for Refugee Status than any other Jurisdiction that accepts Refugees.
